History-

The Dwarves of Ironforge who live beneath the snowy mountains of Khaz Modan are a small, human-like race. While they prefer to live within the depths of their mountain, the Dwarves are quick to aid their friends and allies, namely the humans, in battle. Their courage is unquestionable, as they have fought countless battles in the past without fear. They enjoy the excitement of combat, which is why they are quick to answer the call to battle.

The Dwarven race assisted their Human and Elf allies in the second war against the Orcish Hoards by sending in the deadly Dwarven Demolition Squad. In the most recent war against the Scourge and Burning Legion, the Dwarves employed the deadly Blunderbuss Longrifles, using Dwarven marksmen armed with these rifles to pick off enemy units on both the ground and in the air. The mighty Thanes also came to the assistance of the Alliance of Lordaeron, using their magical hammers to bring death to any evil in their paths.

After the defeat of the Demons and Undead, the Dwarves returned to their mountain home. Yet, in recent years after the war, a discovery has made the Dwarves once again leave the safety of their mountains. The Dwarves had uncovered fragments of their ancient origins, creating a belief that they were forged by the Titans from the rocks of the very world itself. They are now intent on finding more proof of their heritage, and discover what became of their creators, the Titans. The Dwarves have scoured the land, creating excavation sites in many areas they feel may hold potential information about their shrouded past.

Much of the Dwarven history is unknown to us, and as the Dwarves themselves unravel the mysteries of their own creation, this section will expand and grow to account for those new discoveries. It is known, however, that whatever the origins of Dwarves end up being, they have proven themselves as great inventors, good friends, and even better warriors.

Characteristics-

Dwarves are a stout, sturdy race that looks very much like small humans. All male Dwarves have long, flowing beards that the Dwarves go to great lengths to maintain, while Dwarven females do not have beards. A Dwarf's small stature can make him or her look like easy prey to larger creatures, but they are all known for their skill in combat, and any enemy quickly learns that Dwarves are much more dangerous then they first appear.

Lifestyle-

The Dwarves live in the mountain of Khaz Modan, venturing out only when they feel that they have a purpose in doing so. One of those reasons is the prospect of combat. Dwarves love fighting, so they will quickly aid their friends and allies when they feel that there is an evil threat shadowing the world.

Technology-

The Dwarven inventors are known all over the lands of Azeroth for their incredible and innovative creations. The Dwarven race has created more technological wonders then all of the other races combined. Accredited for the creation of the deadly Blunderbuss Longrifles, the flying Gyrocopter, the massive Steam Tank, and the long range mortar cannon, the Dwarves have acquired a deadly arsenal of technological weaponry that they often put to good use during battle.

The Art of War-

The Dwarves are known for their valor and courage in battle. Their love of combat will send them running to help their allies when there is even a hint of the chance that a battle may take place. They are known to employ their technology, along with their natural abilities in combat, to create a deadly fighting force against the armies of their enemy.
